The dutch soprano Hadewijch Voorn studied singing at the Brabants Conservatory in Tilburg, The Netherlands. She successfully completed her Bachelor degree classical singing supervised by Frans Fiselier in May 2005. During the last year of this study she already received coaching by the famous soprano Nelly Miricioiu.
She continued her study at the HKU (Hoge School voor de Kunsten) in Utrecht, The Netherlands, where she received her Master title with emphasis of performing in May 2007, with vocal teacher Henny Diemer. During her study in Utrecht she participated in the Opera Program of the Conservatory led by operastage-director Monique Wagenmakers, quest stage-director David Prins and vocal coach Jan Slothouwer.
She attended Master Classes by Nelly Miricioiu (Grachtenfestival 2007), Ann Murray, Jard van Nes (Chamber Music Festival at Schiermonnikoog, The Netherlands), Rudolf Janssen, Gemma Visser (Jekerstudio).

She worked with conductors as: Ed Spanjaard, Stefan Veselka, Antony Hermus, David Levi, Florian Heyerick, and with Jac van Steen in Grieg's Peer Gynt with the Neurenberg Symfoniker.
With the Brabants Orchestra she sang a small wole in 'Die Fledermaus' by Johann Strauss, conducted by Jan-Willem de Vriend. And she sang several recitals with music by Wagner, Mahler, Wolf, Schumann, Faure, Berlioz, Barber, Bernstein. With the Rotterdams Philharmonic Orchestra she performed highlights from the West Side Story (ensemble).
She has been a soloist in music by Rossini (Petite Messe Solennelle), Brahms (Requiem), Mozart (Requiem), Vivaldi (Gloria), Bach (several cantatas), Herzogenberg (Die Passion), Telemann (Der Tod Jesu), Saint-Saens (Oratoriu de Noel), Pergolesi (Stabat Mater).
Hadewijch performed as Dido in Dido and Aeneas by Purcell and Imelda in Oberto, Conte di San Bonifacio by Verdi. In September 2005 she performed te role Gekke Heks (crazy Witch) in the opera Tijdvaarders by Gerard Beljon, with the orchestra 'De Volharding' conducted by Ruud van Eeten.
In 2007 she performed in Rusalka by Dvorak, directed by David Prins, Sour Angelica and Il Tabarro by Puccini directed by Ben Davis with Opera Zuid.
In June 2008 she performed the role Theresa in Bellini's La Sonnambula.
In Zauber ohne Flote, a production with the National Reisopera, she sang the role of First Lady, directed by Jim Lucassen. This production was based on the Zauberflote by Mozart.
In August 2009 she performed the role Fourth Virgin in Elektra by R. Strauss with Opera Spanga and in November 2009 the role of Queen Anna Paulowna in the opera King William the Second, worldpremiere, music by R. van Eeten.
